His expertise in this technique has led to him presenting on and teaching the procedure to other urologists all around the world.
Whilst at King’s he also ran a number of projects relating to the potential role of diet and dietary factors in the development and progression of prostate cancer. His particular interest relates to lycopene, the chemical that makes to tomatoes red, however, he has also published on other dietary factors.
King’s College Hospital is the recognised birthplace of laparoscopic or key-hole kidney surgery and having begun his specialised training in this field there, Neil continued and completed his training in a laparoscopic fellowship at Eastbourne District General Hospital in 2004.
Neil is a regular referee for a number of international journals including, the British Journal of Urology International, Prostate Cancer and Prostatic Diseases and The Lancet and has appeared on a number of radio programmes discussing urological issues.
