Richard G Hindley
MSc FRCS (Urol)
Richard Hindley was appointed as Consultant Urological Surgeon to the North Hampshire Hospital in 2004 into a department with a unique and extensive experience in ‘key-hole’ or laparoscopic urology. In this setting, he was to take over the sub specialist responsibility for surgeries relating to kidney and ureteric disease.
Richard studied at Dundee University Medical School completing his undergraduate training in 1991. Following initial training in general surgery, Richard spent 18 months in Urological research in Brighton, this research leading to the award of an MSc in Urology in 1999. |

The highlights of the subsequent six years in higher surgical training in Urology include 2 years at Guy’s Hospital, London and a Fellowship in Australia in 2003, developing expertise in the management of urinary tract stone disease and continuing an interest in minimally invasive treatments in urology.
